"Is There A God? Questions About Science and the Bible" now closed to new students.

  Dr. John Oakes' new, free course called Is There A God? Questions About Science and the Bible based upon the newly revised edition of his book with the same title is now closed to new students. The class filled up during its first week and the discussions have been lively from the start! Dr. Oakes will be teaching another course here in the fall.

The purpose of this course is to answer basic questions people have about the scientific accuracy of biblical events, the relationship between science and the Bible, and whether there is a fundamental contradiction between the biblical and scientific worldviews or is it possible for them to coexist.

New Course! Is There A God? Taught by Dr. John Oakes

  Dr. John Oakes will be teaching a new, free course called Is There A God? Questions About Science and the Bible based upon the newly revised edition of his book with the same title. The purpose of this course is to answer basic questions people have about the scientific accuracy of biblical events, the relationship between science and the Bible, and whether there is a fundamental contradiction between the biblical and scientific worldviews or is it possible for them to coexist.

Dr. Oakes is the author of several books in the area of Christian Evidences including Reasons for Belief: A Handbook of Christian Evidence, From Shadow to Reality: The Relationship Between the Old Testament and the New Testament and Is There a God? Questions About Science and the Bible. Dr. Oakes also manages the popular website www.evidenceforchristianity.org.

The course is now open for registration for a limited time beginning on April 1, so if you'd like to take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn directly from the author of the book, sign up soon! The last time we offered a course taught by Dr. Oakes it filled up very quickly!

Please note, although you may register for the course now, it won't begin until April 8, 2007. The duration of the course will be 8 weeks.
